Check In With Known NFL Analyst George RR Martin on How Week 1 Went For His Beloved Giants/Jets

A new season of NFL football has begun, and…

Life is meaningless and full of pain.

The Giants game went more or less as expected.   Saquon was incredible as ever, Eli played well, but OBJ was sorely missed and there was no defense.   Kid QB looked sharp when the game was over, but not sharp enough to be thrown to the wolves next week.   Eli should play.

The Jets collapse was inexcusable.   How the hell could management have let our Pro Bowl kicker walk?  If Sam Darnold is the new Namath, he sure didn’t look like it.

I think another long dark season looms ahead.

Poor George RR Martin and all other fans of the New York football teams that don’t play in New York. Getting smashed by the Cowboys AND getting a one point dagger from the Bills. Honestly Why would you root for two stinky franchises. If you’re gonna root for 2, should make them at least 2 good teams. Yeah i get maybe he’s just a New York Sports guy but Id take the Bills over the Jets for sure. They went to 4 straight Super bowls. I think they can still claim that as long as Buffalo still serves wings and people still jump from tables and wear Zubaz pants. But honestly I’m here just waiting to see what Mr. Martin has to say about Sam Darnold being out for the season due to Mono. Was he kissing too many Girls? Guys? we don’t judge around here but just saying that you can be out for possibly 6 weeks from a disease that 15 year olds get from kissing each other just sucks. You got guys that are visiting world renown physicians like Dr. James Andrews about if they can play with their shins bursting out of their legs and then you have the QB who was promised to be a sign of Hope for the New York Jets out for 4 to 6 weeks because of mono. A wild turn of events and I just need it to be eloquently expressed in Blog form from Fantasy Author George R.R. Martin. Pageviews must be through the roof

Dolphins Pick Up Arian Foster For 1 year 1.5 Million

arian-foster-vegan-diet-600x400

Looks like we swapped Miller for Foster pretty much. Sucks because we would like to see Lamar with this new Adam Gase offense thats suppose to be what’s hot in the streets. But overall not a bad deal though. Sure the guy might be wheeled in by wheel chair but for the sake of hope, lets say he’s healthy. Since Lamar Miller left, we all pretty much knew that  Jay Ajayi would be starting RB. This is just a nice small pick up for 1.5 mill. Worst case scenario, he doesn’t even make the cut Week 1 and we only lose $400K (i didn’t check that source). Now if Foster has his body healthy, who knows, we get an extra pair of legs in the back field and some veteran experience on a young offense and some depth in case of injuries. Its low risk high reward. Namaste Bitches.

I Need Taco Bell’s Quesalupa Immediately

Taco Bell is taking its Chalupas and morphing them with a cheesy concept that’s scheduled to make a national debut after Super Bowl weekend.

The Mexican-ish fast food restaurant is rolling out a new “Quesalupa,” a monstrosity that is part Chalupa and part quesadilla. This beast is highlighted by a pepper jack cheese-stuffed shell, with ground beef, sour cream, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and diced tomato.

In 2015, Taco Bell tested this thing out in Toledo, Ohio, and it must have been a hit because the new item is releasing nationwide after its 30-second Super Bowl AD spot February 7.

Taco Bell keeps coming hard with these mashups as we’ve seen with their Doritos Locos Tacos, Waffle Tacos and even a Cap’n Crunch delights.

Damn. When I saw the headline i literally let out an “oh fuck.” Literally nipples hard at the thought of getting Taco Bell. Probably my two favorite things at that fine restaurant establishment. The Chalupa is hands down the best thing on the menu. Simple but wild at the same time. all the same great things in a taco, except the taco shell is like biting into a wild texture crunchy soft fried shell thing. Amazing. Next best thing: The Quesadilla. Again, simple. Cheese and chicken, boom. Fold and heat, can rip apart and is tasty and can hold you over. Combine the two together and it makes me laugh at the real Mexican’s eating their basic ass tacos when they could be eating a quesalupa. Can’t wait for the Superbowl to come. Yea I’m gonna wake up early with excitement like a child on Christmas morning and while every has to scramble to make something to bring to a watch party and buy beers, i hope the drive through lines at TB are clear and i might order a hundred of Quesalupas.

Dolphins Hire Clyde Christensen As New Offensive Coordinator

ESPN- The Miami Dolphins will hire Clyde Christensen to be their offensive coordinator, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Christensen, who spent 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, will work under rookie head coach Adam Gase in Miami. But Christensen is not expected to call plays for the Dolphins. Gase said last week that he plans to handle play-calling duties after doing so the past three seasons as offensive coordinator with the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. "I really enjoy that aspect of putting the game plan together with the offensive staff," Gase said. "So going into this season, that's how we are going to start, with me calling them." Christensen comes to Miami with lofty credentials. He was the Colts' quarterbacks coach the past four seasons and worked with Andrew Luck. He also served three seasons as offensive coordinator with future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and seven seasons as a wide receiver coach for Indianapolis. The Dolphins (6-10) were ranked 26th in total offense last season and 27th in scoring, averaging 19.4 points per game. Fourth-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill had another inconsistent season. It will be important for Christensen and Gase to make sure Tannehill and the offense trend upward next season.

Yo if you had to take a guess at his age you’d say maybe mid 40’s right? maybe late 40’s in some pictures but he’s 59! Guy turns 60 in like two weeks and looks like he should be visiting his dad in a retirement home, not the one himself to be in the retirement home. The guy just looks like a regular midlife dad. Tom Coughlin is 69, only 9  years older, and looked like he was about to become a mummy that haunts Metlife Stadium for all eternity. He looks like the same age and kinda looks like a rounder face version of Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights and he’s only 50. Unbelievable.

As for the actual signing. It should be a pretty good one. As said before, the Dolphins want to bring Tannehill to the next level since they’re handing over garbage bags full of money to him with so far a bad season to show for it. Well the guy who developed Andrew Luck is a pretty decent start even though half of this past season he’s had back ups to work with. Aside from that the guys been an assistant HC, WR coach, OC coach, and TE coach. Guy seems pretty well seasoned from Colts. Well hopefully he see’s some potential in Tannehill and can actually turn him into an Alex Smith type QB instead of this mediocre QB/Once WR player that he is now. If all goes accordingly, next year might finally be the year where Tannehill breaks out **fingers crossed**.

Seriously though, can you believe he’s almost 60?

Quick Blog On Adam Gase

Alright, now that things have died down and people are in playoff mode waiting for Superbowl 50 to happen, I’ve thought about it and i think Dolphin fans should be a little bit more excited about Adam Gase than was initially said. I could be totally wrong because with this organization being run by Stephen Ross, things could just go terribly wrong, but the facts are now that moving forward, Adam Gase is our head coach for the next 5 years. Now the first reaction with no one really knowing anything about Gase was that this was Philbin 2.0 getting some OC with no Head coaching experience and him bringing in his staff and the next thing you know we end up .500 for 3 years. But by all accounts everyone around the league likes Gase and unlike Philbin who was stuck with 1 organization for for a decade, Gase has been around the league with a few teams and leaving behind a positive reputation every time.

Really that is the one big selling point to Gase, that he’s been around the league and under many respected coaches. Starting off with none other than Nick Saban when he was at LSU, from there to Mariucci, Mike Martz, McDaniels for awhile as a WR coach, then QB coach in under John Fox for Peyton Manning, to last year where he was the OC of the Bears working well with Cutler who might’ve had his best season as a bear with Gase working closely with him and ultimately that was a huge factor in hiring Gase.

Once the Dolphins committed millions upon millions on Tannehill, everyone expected him to break out into the franchise QB he’s shown some flashes of. Obviously things never worked out with Philbin, and after this little experiment with Dan Campbell, who is most likely gone once Gase brings in his team, it was time we focused a major part of the coaching regime on making Tannehill worth his money. If he’s able to make one of the most disliked QBs in the league into a somewhat conversation of a decent quarter back, then it seems like what we need here in Miami with Tanney making even more money coming off of a dismal season. Obviously there are holes in every part of the game that need fixing on defense and offense, but for now, we’re working on a problem that is the face of the team and organization, and for that, i like the move to bring in Gase and either way, I’m kinda looking forward to see how this unfolds, either an improved season or a complete disaster for the next few years.

P.s- I hate the #StrongerTogether hashtag. What ever, onto 51.

Dolphins Hire Adam Gase

It was a nice calm saturday today. Wanted to get fit so i went for like a 4 mile jog ( i walked like 3.9 and jogged the last .1 mile to avoid the neighbors dogs barking at me). I went out to Panera for lunch trying to get healthy with a salad when all of a sudden news broke of this mid in line ordering a Chicken Cobb with Avocado and i didn’t quite now how to react because i just feel mixed feelings about this and i haven’t seen any of the press yet about his plan or anything. I know other teams were pretty interested and he’s kind of the guy this off season but then again this is kind of like Philbin 2.0 just years younger. All i know is my first and only reaction right away was to order an entire baguette and im almost done eating said baguette. Tons of butter too. But a bigger recap when i get time to burn these carbs.

Ugly Wins For The Dolphins But A Wins A Win

4304908144_2bff872aab

Two of the hottest teams in the preseason go head to head went to the 4-7 bowl and only 1 team prevailed and thats the Fins baby! Ugly win but people aren’t going to remember how the team won, they just remember the record in the end of the season and as of right now thats 5-7. At this point im pretty sure Stephen Ross is laying all his eggs on the fact that we have the big 50th season game against the Giants where we go throw back uni’s and as long as we win that game, to Ross, it was a season win to his ass. Well if thats the case, maybe carry some momentum from this weeks win with a longer week to plan for playing Monday night against the Gmen and hopefully win. But thats next week.

This week was honestly a brutal one to watch. The Dolphins scoring plays all came withing 20 seconds and from there on it was sitting on our butts for a whole entire half of football waiting for the Ravens to play catch up. Score less first quarter and only 9 1’st downs for the fins and then Rashad Jones picking off Matt Schaub, which was bound to happen, then a 38 yard TD pass from Tannehill to Parker. Things were looking great, making plays on offense, then making plays on defense with a Derrick Shelby turning a blocked pass into an interception running it in 22 yards for a TD with Matt Schaub looking gassed running after him past 5 yards. A nice 2 point conversion running the ball in by Ajayi and from there it was a waiting game till the clock ticked down to 0. Was waiting for worse to happen especially with Lamar Miller fumbling the ball in Miami territory but lady luck was on our side when Justin Tucker went wide right on a missed FG opportunity.

On paper, through the eye balls, on screen the dolphins played awful but not awful enough to lose the game. Hopefully some of that had to do with Zac Taylor taking the place of Bill Lazar after he got canned earlier this week but the narrative now is that The Dolphins win when were we can someone so I don’t actually think there’s any truth to that obviously, but good on Taylor making the decision to run the ball more. Seriously week 12 we were 9 carries for 12 yards. This week, 26 carries for 94 yards. Big step up considering how bad this season has been but for now, 5-7 and everyone waiting to break these bad boys out for Monday.

The Dolphins Might Not Win Another Game This Season

Well that was a brutal loss on Sunday. Tannehill Tannehilled again with another botched snap leading to a safety which is becoming a common occurrence with Tannehill. To me its like when you notice one car that you dont see often and then every asshole on the road has one. Well once you see a Tannehill botched snap you should put an over total bet on how many more he’s got for the rest of the season. Not a good way to start an offense. All of this didnt help when they couldn’t push in a TD right before halftime at 1st and Goal from the 1 yard line, from there it was over. A little hopeful lights with Miller and Ajayi. A Nice trick play from Juice throwing to Tannehill. But that was all shattered when Tannehill Fumbled a ball into a Bills hand at the Dolphins 40. Another frustrating week. All hope lost and sitting at the bottom of the division.

Does it get better? meh, not hopeful. Eagles Im pretty sure we’ll lose to. Cowboys Romo should be back and they employ a woman beater so that one probably wont look good. Jets, well I’ll pray every night that we get Geno Smith at QB, but i also haven’t won the lottery yet either so that’s doubtful. Ravens is a coin flip for me. Obviously they stink but who stinks worse? A QB who’s won a Superbowl or a Wide receiver moonlighting as a QB who lets snaps fly by his face. Exactly. Now comes the NY Giants. This is one game im expecting the Dolphins to win. Why? Simple.maxresdefault

I believe the common parlance is “Its Lit.” And soon after that we they gotta fly all the way to San Diego to take on Mike Brady and the Chargers so im just gonna mark that in the loss column. After that its Andrew Luck who’s fighting form becoming a laughing stock and then we go home to RIP with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots as the Pallbearer.

I Got Everything Wrong About This Dolphins/Patriots Game

CSkdltCWcAAGlObCSiPP9jXIAAFmfX

Welp, the clock ticked down to 0 and the carriage has officially turned back into a pumpkin. People around here were riding super high after the past two games where the Fins put a whopping on Texas and Tennessee, But its just that. Texas and Tennessee. take who ever wins the CFB National Championship against them and they’d probably win. Now i for one, never thought it was gonna be a W. But I somehow talked myself into make some bold bold predictions that none of them panned out.

First one being that Dolphins would cover in the first half whatever the line may be. I figure we’d come out strong, unwavered confidence could carry our defense and at least score on an early drive.  Well thanks to the Patriots scoring on their first drive along with Tannehill’s uncanny ability to really suck at footballs sometimes, we get a 19-0 Patriots first half (Probably gonna be their record at the end of the season). So unless anyone somehow got the first half spread at +20, the Dolphins stunk.lolphins.0

So after i talked myself into believing they’d cover 1st half, its only a skip or two away from thinking they wont get blown out. All week I’ve been listening to podcast and radio and most of it was from New England guys. Its easy to see why they’re hate able, but i listen especially this one guy i subscribe to, and you should as well just if you like sports in general is The Danny Picard Show. Now he goes on to say that Patriots were gonna blow out Miami. Now he goes on to say this after he recapped last week game where it was 44-26 fins and pretty much disregards that. Now anyone who watched knows that it was like 38-0 at half time and we were pretty much playing garbage time by the 2nd half so In my head i was saying Danny Picard didn’t see the game, yea 44-26 is close but it was all in the first half and we let the foot off the gas. Basically all that lead me to think its gonna be egg on their face when its not a blow out, but low and behold. It was pretty much a blow out at a 29 point difference. CSiPP9jXIAAFmfX

But all of the above didn’t stop my brain. Its a big divisional game. They’re gonna play tougher, If i were New England i wouldn’t worry about winning, id be worried their Offensive weapons are gonna get injured on this now 7-0 run against this hungry vicious Dolphins team. Lets see how this worked out:

Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.18.17 AM Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.18.32 AM Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.18.43 AM  Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.20.08 AM Screen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.20.36 AMScreen Shot 2015-10-30 at 10.19.09 AM

Turns out we were using one of those Looney Tunes shotguns that end up shooting yourself in the face all night.

Well we were riding really high after the last two W’s but finally checked back into reality. If anything i really hope this doesn’t hurt Dan Campbell’s chance at becoming the permanent head coach and i don’t think it will. I mean He definitely has some blame here tonight considering he said last week that preparation for this game was going to be all mental. It was gonna be game planning with the brain as opposed to just tackle drills.  Well be the time Tannehill watched that snap soar right by him i thought the whole mental game was cooked. Just absolutely rattled and ended up throwing like 2 picks because of it. But again, i like Campbell as a coach obviously more so than Philbin. And something about him when you hear him talk, he kind of sheds the big tough guy persona and falls into this emotional being. Kinda weird. He’s one of those giant softees i think deep down that just loves football and being around the guys. Well next up is Buffalo, hopefully Campbell gets it going again and we can atleast take them out in the division.

BREAKING: Welp Philbins Officially Out

The Miami Dolphins fired coach Joe Philbin on Monday after a 1-3 start to the season, league sources confirmed to ESPN. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel had earlier reported Philbin's firing. Philbin, 24-28 in Miami since taking over in 2012, became the first head coach in the NFL to lose his job this season. The Dolphins entered this year with high expectations but looked mostly uninspired and disorganized during their current three-game losing streak. Miami has been outscored 91-48 during that stretch. Philbin met with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross on Sunday in London after a 27-14 loss to the New York Jets, and said afterward that he was confident in his job security. Ross, however, had other thoughts once the team returned to the United States. Dolphins tight ends coach Dan Campbell will serve as Miami's interim head coach for the remainder of the season. The Dolphins have been awful on both sides of the football. Miami is ranked No. 23 in total offense and No. 30 in total defense, including dead last against the run at 160.5 rushing yards per game despite the addition of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Philbin is 4-8 in his past 12 games dating back to last season. Philbin survived the Dolphins' bullying scandal two years ago and the team's late-season collapses in 2013 and 2014. He received a contract extension earlier this year that will pay him through the 2016 season.

Well that was fast but also like 3 years over due. Hope the best of luck to where ever Philbin goes whether its a OC or DC job else where (any team would be dumb to put him at HC again) or maybe just moonlighting as a night time live musical performance at some run down bar. either way on to the next with Dan Campbell filling in for the rest of the season. Haven’t heard anything on Kevin Coyle yet though. His ass better go too.
