This Guy Started And Brought A Knife To A Gun Fight At A Modesto Costco

ABC10- A regular day at the Costco in Modesto quickly turned into one of panic and chaos, when a 61-year-old man started pacing up and down the aisles with a large knife. "There were kids and families. Costco did a really good job rushing everybody outside," said George Kunkel, a demo vendor at the wholesale club. "It was intense. He's roaming around. What is he going to do?" The man was caught on camera roaming around the clothes section. Witnesses say he started charging at people, Costco employees specifically. "He didn't proceed to do jabbing until people were out of his way and nothing but employees in front of him," said Seth Watson, who works at Costco and witnessed the whole thing. Watson also said he saw employees trying to defend themselves with chairs and other objects. That's when someone stepped in. An off-duty officer with the California Department of Corrections just happened to be one of the hundreds of people in the Costco at the time. "I didn't even know that was an armed officer," Watson said. "Glad he was there." Kunkel said the officer told the man to put the knife down, but he refused. "Finally [the man] kind of charges at him," Kunkel said. "That's when the officer takes a shot to his stomach. One shot and he went down." After the shooting, Costco closed down for the rest of the day. Modesto Police spent several hours gathering evidence. The officer was not injured. The man is in the hospital in critical but stable condition. The investigation will be treated as an officer-involved shooting. Many people are just thankful that an officer was in the right place at the right time.

Scoreboard: Gun-1, Knife-0

Look, guns are a super hot button issue that I don’t want to press here. There are pro’s and con’s and people that have their foot firmly planted on one side will never hear the other. All I will say is the gun won that one. It’s one of those things where theory meets practice. I don’t even think I would have the balls to shoot the guy just cause I don’t like getting involved in stuff, if I can run and every ones safe, so be it. But that guy was inching closer and closer to shiving some dude and the C.O. wasn’t having that. Had to pull the trigger. And I don’t really want to hear about people saying he’s mentally unstable and needs mental help and didn’t need to be shot. Uhhhh yea, we know. He’s a guy running around a Modesto Costco with a hunting knife, of course he’s unstable. But we’re not gonna wait for cops to arrive so they can taze him while he swings his knife around at people. Guy lived from a gun shot to the gut, he’s hospitalized, he can get help there on afterwards.

Central Florida Firearms Manufacturer Spike’s Tactical Make Rifle With Bible Scripture Inscribed On It To Deter Usage from Muslim Terrorist. Dubbed The Tactical Crusader

The AR-15 is listed as The Crusader Rifle on the manufacturer’s website, described as a “lightweight mid-length rifle,” built to be used for tactical applications or for competition. The words of Psalm 144:1—”Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle”—are etched upon the right side of the gun’s lower, while a cross and shield are etched upon the left side.” Along the AR-15’s safety lever are the Latin words “Pax Pacis” (Peace), “Bellum” (War), and “Deus Vult” (God Wills It). Peace is the gun’s safe position while “War” is the gun’s fire position. According to WTSP 10 News, Spike’s Tactical spokesman Ben “Mookie” Thomas explained why the company decided to create the Crusader: Right now and as it has been for quite some time, one of the biggest threats in the world is and remains Islamic terrorism. We wanted to make sure we built a weapon that would never be able to be used by Muslim terrorists to kill innocent people or advance their radical agenda.

***DISCLAIMER: Since guns and religion is a hot button issue, Im only writing this in regards of ISIS terrorist so dont hate me. But if you do please comment so my site statistics goes up….i guess i dont care that much.Whatever***

I’ll readily admit that i hate novelty things on firearms. I’m not some crazy gun nut, just more of a casual enthusiast but when I see novelty gun things it just screams marketing ploy to me. And thats fine because thats just business. But every time you walked into a shooting range for the past few years right at the counter they would sell those silly Hornady Zombie loads and Ruger with their Zombie slayer LCP. Its all just marketing hoopla. Same kinda goes with this.

That being said, i kinda just don’t care for this on the consumer lever. On the military level though, i sneaky kinda like it. I’ve been seeing news articles recently that ISIS soldiers have gotten a hold of US supply drops. Well fuck that. I wanna see the look of disgust and disappointment when they raid a drop point and look at all the bible scriptures that’ll just drive them ballistic. Its just a point of pride at this point. The same way a ton of old Vets never own an AK because they’re the guns of the terrorist, theres no chance ISIS members are gonna use the Crusader. So yea it might be a novelty marketing move by Spikes tactical, but If just one ISIS member finds an AR with bible verses or whatever on it and wont use it to kill anyone and it stops him for a bit, then i guess it served its purpose. Now when are we gonna discuss Mossberg putting in production Constantine’s Holy Shotgun? If you thought the Crusader had religious stopping power, this bad boy could make son of sam beg for mercy.

Man’s House Got Robbed 5 Times In 6 Years, Buys A Gun, Uses It That Same Night

(NEWSER) – Earlier this week, Harvey Lembo decided enough was enough. After five burglaries in his Maine home in six years—most recently last month when $1,000 and medications were stolen—the retired lobsterman bought what he describes as a 7mm Russian-made revolver on Monday. Hours later, he used it, reports CBS News. Lembo, 67 and wheelchair-bound, says he awoke late Monday to the sound of an intruder and saw a shadow pass his kitchen. He took the gun out from under his pillow and confronted the man, who was looking through his medications, reports the Bangor Daily News. "I told him to sit down while I called police or I would blow his brains out." But while Lembo was on the phone, he says the man tried to flee, so Lembo shot him in the shoulder. Police found 45-year-old Christopher Wildhaber, who has two prior domestic violence convictions, thanks to the trail of blood. After initially saying they don't expect Lembo to be charged, police are now saying the decision lies with the district attorney, who has yet to issue a decision on the matter. No word on just how Lembo's apartment was so easy to break into, but a warning to those who think he's an easy target: "They're going to have the same treatment," Lembo says. "And one of them might be worse. Might be fatal. 'Cause I ain't messing around no more."

Now I don’t want to sound biased because I’m from the south and have guns and all that but god dammit does it feel good that a criminal got shot by a 67 year old wheel chair bound man. Harvey Lembo doesn’t deserve to be robbed. Guy probably spent his entire life waking up at Four a.m. and came home at night stinking of brine. He probably sent his kids through law school and paid for all those medications with the lobsters he caught! I mean robbing some scum bag I dont care but not this god damn retired lobsterman. Well about time a nice blue collar fellow just taking the law into his hands fucking threatening to blow the brains out of a criminal while he’s in his wheel chair but thats what you get if you try to steal $1,000 dollars worth of meds from his cupboards. That should teach Christopher Wildhaber a lesson that two prior domestic violence charges can’t. I mean he might’ve clipped the shoulder but coming from an un experienced shooter who bought his revolver a few hours before, you know he was aiming to put one through his dome. Cause he ain’t messing around no more.

p.s- one suggestion though, Harvey. Russian revolver? Get your self a nice American made Smith & Wesson.
